North Shore Bank Branches are Collecting Holiday Gifts for Local Shelters

Through December 16^th, North Shore Bank branches will be collecting new, unwrapped holiday gifts to benefit the families in residence of local shelters operated by Citizens Inn. In addition, North Shore Bank Saugus branches will be collecting toys as part of the annual Saugus Firefighters Toy Drive and their Merrimac and Newton, New Hampshire branches will be collecting for Toys for Tots. And this year, the three Beverly branches of Beverly Bank, a Division of North Shore Bank will be participating in the Salvation Army's Angel Tree Program.

Kevin Tierney, North Shore Bank’s Chief Executive Officer said,

We’re proud of our employees and customers for taking the initiative to help those families in our community who are facing challenges in their everyday lives, especially during this time of the year. This is what being part of a community is all about”, Tierney continued, “helping our neighbors in difficult times. What we receive in return is the satisfaction of knowing that we made a difference in someone’s life.

The bank is encouraging donations to their Holiday Gift Drive and any contribution is greatly appreciated. Below is a list of requested items.

About the Saugus Firefighters Toy Drive
Each December, retired Saugus Fire Captain Bill O’Malley and his team of volunteers place collection bins at Town Hall, the Fire Department, banks, and other town hot spots where residents can easily drop off gifts. Residents can still drop off new, unopened gifts at the Essex Street Fire Station, 120 Essex St., or at any of the collection boxes around town.
