Tierney, Sr., recently met with representatives from the Peabody Education Foundation to present them with a $25,000 contribution to the Foundation’s Mental Wellness Initiative. This initiative provides reading materials, motivational speakers, and other resources to help Peabody schools deal with the mental health issues that have escalated due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mr. Tierney said of the Foundation’s initiative:

We recognize that even children experience depression and anxiety, and we’re committed to strengthening mental health resources for our students, our schools, and our community. The Mental Wellness Initiative services facilitated by the Peabody Education Foundation are essential in promoting the health, safety, and wellness for all of the children in Peabody, both physically and emotionally.” He added, “We’re pleased to be teaming up with the Peabody Education Foundation to raise critical funds for mental health advocacy, services, and support.
