NSB Donates $10K To The Peabody Centennial Celebration

PEABODY, MASSACHUSETTS ( – The Peabody Centennial Celebrations Committee was thrilled to receive a check for $10,000 on behalf of North Shore Bank for the bank’s Grand Marshall sponsorship of the City’s Centennial events. Presenting the sponsorship check to the City were Kevin Tierney Sr., President and COO and Christopher Pesce, Vice President and Marketing Officer of North Shore Bank. This generous donation from North Shore Bank will be used to help offset the costs associated with the sensational Centennial Parade, which will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2016. 

Centennial Fundraising Chair Dave Gravel said:

“This is just another shining example of how North Shore Bank always steps up to support our community.  We appreciate their donation for our Centennial Events and their ongoing support of our City!”

Kevin Tierney, Sr., President and COO of North Shore Bank said:

“This event celebrates the great history of this community. North Shore Bank has been a fixture in Peabody since 1888 when we were formed as the Peabody Cooperative Bank.” He went on to say, “We commend the city and the Centennial Committee for their hard work in pulling the parade together, and we’re proud to be a part of this event.”

Throughout 2016 and into 2017, the City of Peabody is celebrating its 100th anniversary as a City. The Peabody Centennial Celebration Committee is currently seeking sponsors, and donors to help pay for the remaining Centennial events.  Along with the parade, these events include a special Centennial Birthday party on January 2nd, 2017 and a Grand Ball on May 7, 2017.  All levels of sponsorships and donations are needed and appreciated!  To become a Centennial sponsor or donor please visit
