North Shore Bank Establishes a Salem State University Scholarship

PEABODY, MA — ( In support of the Salem State University Foundation’s ‘10,000 Reasons Campaign’, North Shore Bank has established a permanent endowment to provide an annual scholarship that will give four years of financial assistance to a Salem State University student.

Kevin M. Tierney, Sr., North Shore Bank President stated:

“There is little question that for most families, college financing is one of the largest expenditure after their home. We’re proud to be able to establish this fund so that we can provide direct assistance to a hard-working and deserving Salem State University student.”

Cynthia McGurren, Executive Director of the Salem State University Foundation said:

“The Salem State University Foundation wants to sincerely thank North Shore Bank for their generosity. The success of our students is due in large measure to our incredibly loyal community partners, like North Shore Bank, who will certainly enrich the educational experience of our students through this scholarship fund.”

The foundation’s ‘10,000 Reasons Campaign’ is the university’s largest-ever fundraising effort and first-ever comprehensive campaign. In name and in spirit, it celebrates the individual voices of students, faculty, alumni, and friends as well as the community
