PEABODY, MASSACHUSETTS (www.northshore-bank.com) – On Tuesday, January 26th, Peabody Mayor, Ted Bettencourt shared his 2016 plan for the city with over 150 members of the Peabody business community at a breakfast held at the Peabody Marriott and sponsored by North Shore Bank and the Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce. The annual breakfast provides the opportunity for business leaders to meet and hear about issues impacting the community and local economy.
During his remarks, Mayor Bettencourt expressed his views on the current business environment, stating:
“Over the past four years we have invested heavily in Peabody’s future in both education and infrastructure, to public safety and quality of life.” He went on to say, “Thanks to the hard work and dedication of so many people, Peabody has made great strides, and we have laid the ground work for a tremendous period of economic growth in the next decade and beyond.”
Joining Mayor Bettencourt were State Representative Ted Speliotis, State Senator Joan Lovely, and Deputy Director Rick Jakious from Congressman Seth Moulton’s office.
Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce Chairman, Christopher Pesce said:
Our primary goal is to strengthen the local economy and encourage business friendly legislation, permitting and regulations for our members.” He continued, “When the chamber speaks to issues facing the business community, elected officials listen because they know we represent a much larger audience.
Chamber President, Deanne Healey, thanked North Shore Bank for their many years of support to the Chamber and to the Peabody community.
