In an effort to get local children and teens ready for the upcoming school year, all North Shore Bank branches recently collected an array of school supplies for local families in need. Items collected by both customers and employees were distributed to students through Beverly Bootstraps, Citizens Inn, The Lynn Shelter Association, and the Newton, NH Food Pantry.

Kevin Tierney, North Shore Bank’s President and CEO said:

We recognize the struggles that many families are facing, making the services provided by these organizations even more essential.” He went on to say, “I’m happy that we’re able to help make the first day of school a little easier for those children in our community whose families may be facing hard times.

Gianna Langis, Development Officer for Citizens Inn, Inc. said of the bank’s donation:

Our Back to School Drive is one of the best times of the year. We're grateful to businesses like North Shore Bank for hosting a donation bin in multiple locations and supporting our organization.” She continued, “At the end of the drive we have enough backpacks and supplies for all 65 children living in our shelter programs and stuff an additional 100 backpacks for our clients utilizing the pantry at Citizens Inn Haven from Hunger.
