Abington Bank, a division of North Shore Bank, Contributes $3,000 to Support New Wheelchair-Accessible Van for Local Veterans
Abington Bank, a division of North Shore Bank, recently made a $3,000 contribution to the Abington Rotary Club and the Town of Abington’s Office of Veterans’ Services to support the purchase of a new, wheelchair-accessible van dedicated to serving local veterans and their widows.
The new van will provide safe, reliable transportation to medical appointments, benefit consultations, and other essential services that affect veterans’ health, well-being, and peace of mind—all at no cost to them.
“This project reflects the best of what our community stands for—gratitude, respect, and care for those who have served our country,” remarked Michael R. Wheeler, North Shore Bank president and CEO. “We’re proud to partner with the Abington Rotary Club and the Office of Veterans’ Services to help make this important resource a reality.”
The initiative is part of a community-wide effort to ensure that local veterans can access the care and support they’ve earned without facing transportation barriers. The collaboration between Abington Bank, the Rotary Club, and the Town’s Veterans’ Services highlights the strength of community partnerships in improving the lives of those who have given so much.
