Kevin M. Tierney, Sr., Chief Executive Officer of North Shore Bank, and Michael R. Wheeler, President of North Shore Bank, announced the hiring of Edward F. Fitzgerald as a Vice President in their Commercial Lending Division. 

In his new role Fitzgerald will be working out of the bank’s new Reading branch and focusing his efforts on Commercial & Industrial lending, while continuing to diversify the bank’s real estate portfolio.

Michael D. Brown, Chief Lending Officer for North Shore Bank, said of Fitzgerald’s hiring:

Fitzgerald has over 15 years of experience in the financial industry. Prior to joining North Shore Bank he served as a Vice President of Commercial Lending at several local banks including The Savings Bank in Wakefield; Sovereign Bank; Cambridge Trust Company; and most recently Melrose Bank. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree for Marketing from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and his Masters of Business Administration from Northeastern University in Boston.

He was previously a member of the Board of Directors for Rotary International, as well as the Reading-North Reading Chamber of Commerce, and volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and the Greater Boston Food Bank.
