North Shore Bank Employees Raise Money for the Beverly Bootstraps Food Pantry

North Shore Bank recently presented Beverly Bootstraps with a donation of $1,500. The proceeds were raised by Bank employees as part of their weekly “Jeans Day” program. Each Friday, in exchange for $5, bank employees are allowed to wear jeans. At the end of the month the accumulated funds are then collected and donated to a local non-profit organization that was chosen by the staff. Since its inception in 2015, bank employees have raised over $60,000 for local non-profits.

Chosen as the recipient of the bank’s January’s Jeans Day dollars, Beverly Bootstraps has become a critical provider of social services for those in the Beverly and Manchester-by-the-Sea communities who are in need. In addition to their food pantry, they offer emergency and long-term assistance including housing, stability, adult and youth education, counseling and advocacy.

Kyle Perzanoski, Branch Manager of North Shore Bank’s new Beverly Branch located in North Shore Crossing said:

“Beverly Bootstraps is an extraordinary organization that is committed to serving the people in our community.” He continued, “By donating the dollars our employees collecting through the bank’s Jeans Day Program, we get the gratification of knowing that in a small way we’re helping local families in need.”

Heather Johnston, director of donor relations for Beverly Bootstraps, said:

“We are so grateful for the support of North Shore Bank employees.”  She went on to say, “Their recent donation of $1,500 as a result of their Jean’s Day fundraiser is greatly appreciated. This generosity will help us provide families in need on the North Shore with food and services to help them through challenging times.”

About Beverly Bootstraps
Beverly Bootstraps was first established in 1992 as a Food Pantry in the basement of the First Baptist Church. With the generous support of their donors, volunteers and the community at large, they have grown to be a leading social service agency on the North Shore. They are unique in their approach to the issues of hunger. While recognizing that people need food in hand to stem immediate hunger, their clients also need the opportunity to be embraced by the community, educated about the resources available and empowered to improve their own lives. As they continue to grow, their commitment to the community remains the same: to provide critical resources to families and individuals so that they may achieve self-sufficiency. They accomplish this while maintaining their commitment to fiscal responsibility and serving as trusted stewards of the organization.
