NSB Raises Money for Hurrincane Relief Efforts

PEABODY, MA — (www.northshore-bank.com) North Shore Bank recently made a donation to the Texas Bankers Association and One America Appeal to help those impacted by Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria.

Each month the bank contributes to local non-profit and charitable organizations through their Jeans Day Program. The proceeds are raised by bank employees who wear jeans on Fridays in exchange for $5. In September, the bank announced that it would be holding two special Jeans Days to support those most affected by the recent hurricanes. With a corporate match from the bank, they were able to raise $2,700 towards the relief efforts.

Kevin M. Tierney, Sr., President and Chief Executive Officer, said:

"This past month has been difficult for parts of the U.S. and neighboring countries who have been hit hard by the hurricanes. Our hearts go out to all of those who have been impacted by these storms." He went on to say, "North Shore Bank is dedicated to helping its community, whether local, regional or national. The effects of the hurricanes have touched us all, inclusive of our employees who are always committed to common good.”
