Saugus, MA (www.saugusbank.com) – Saugusbank employees and customers once again participated in a number of area toy drives to benefit the needy. During the month of December, bank branches served as collection sites for the Saugus Fire Department’s annual holiday drive. As in year’s past, more than two hundred new toys and articles of clothing were donated to support the department’s program.
Employees also worked with the BridgeHouse Family Shelter in Lynn — donating toys and clothing for over twenty families served by the non-profit. Organized by Saugusbank Branch Manager, Deb Alphonse, this effort ultimately collected more than one hundred items.
According to Saugusbank President & CEO, Kevin Tierney:
“We couldn’t be prouder of everyone who took part in the effort. It’s always extremely rewarding to walk through our lobbies in December and to see the outpouring of generosity on display; it really puts the holidays in perspective for all of us.”
