Turgeon, a member of the National Honor Society, also captained the SHS girls’ soccer team. She is currently attending Salem State University where she is majoring in Nursing. In addition to being the Senior Class President, Ryan Perry also participated in many other extra-curricular clubs and activities. An incoming freshman at Suffolk University, Ryan is majoring in Education/Mathematics.
Since 1987, Saugusbank has awarded almost $80,000 through the Saugus High School Scholarship. Award recipients are chosen by a committee of bank employees and are based on a combination of criteria, including academic achievement.
When asked about the program recently, Saugusbank President & CEO, Kevin Tierney related:
“Each year the review process for the scholarship has become something that we all look forward to at the bank. We’re typically floored by the caliber of the applicants and this year’s crop was no exception. Our committee definitely had its work cut out for it.”
