Saugus, MA (www.saugusbank.com) – For the months of January and February, all Saugusbank branches may seem a little more colorful than usual. That’s because the bank is again taking orders from employees and customers to sell daffodils in support of the American Cancer Society’s Daffodil Days. This long-running program seeks to raise funds that will ultimately be used in areas ranging from education, research, legal advocacy and even providing direct support for families and individuals battling cancer.
According to bank employee and program coordinator, Roseanne Schaejbe:
“Daffodil days tend to be a highlight for the bank each winter and we’re quite thrilled to again be part of this year’s program. Cancer has touched the lives of all of us — directly and indirectly — and it’s extremely fulfilling to be able spread some beauty while contributing in such a direct manner.”
This year’s choices are as follows:
- Bouquets of 10 daffodils for $10
- Potted daffodils for $15
- “Bear and a Bunch” — 10 daffodils and a limited “Boyd’s Teddy Bear” for $25
- “A Gift of Hope” — for every $25 donation the American Cancer Society will deliver a bouquet of daffodils to a patient in treatment)
- “Bear Hugs for Hope” cuddly bears delivered to children impacted by cancer, starting at $25
The deadline for placing order is Friday, March 1 and deliveries will arrive the week of March 18. For further information call 781-231-3800 or speak to a Customer Service Representative at any Saugusbank branch (412 Lynn Fells Parkway, 1 Hamilton Street or 481 Lincoln Ave., Saugus).
