Saugusbank Volunteer Crew Lends a Hand at My Brother’s Table

Saugus, MA ( – On a recent Tuesday evening, a volunteer crew from Saugusbank visited My Brother’s Table to assist with its nightly food preparation, serving and clean-up efforts.  My Brother’s Table is a Lynn-based non-profit that provides daily meals to the hungry, 365 days a year, and which projects to serve over 100,000 this year.   Relying heavily on donated food from supermarkets, restaurants, food drives, and individuals for most of each meal served, the organization utilizes over 2,500 volunteers a year.

According to Debbie Alphonse, Branch Manager at the Saugusbank’s One Hamilton Street office:

“We were so humbled to be associated with My Brother’s Table. The organization is incredibly well-organized and we were all struck by the familial atmosphere that they created for their guests.”

Such a relationship will assist staff and volunteers to serve as referral resources and advocates for the guests.
