Our Neighbors' Table - Jeans Day
Lyndsey Haight, Executive Director of Our Neighbors' Table with Deb Alphonse of North Shore Bank.
In August of 2019, NSB’s Merrimac branch staff nominated Our Neighbors’ Table, a food assistance organization based in Amesbury, MA to receive our monthly Jeans Day dollars.
Deb Alphonse, Assistant Manager at the branch said:
It’s pretty hard not to be inspired by Our Neighbors’ Table and their commitment to the surrounding community.” She went on to say, “It was only natural that we would think of them as a potential Jeans Day recipient. We’re really happy to be able to help them in their mission.
Our Neighbors’ Table provides hot, nutritious meals prepared on-site and a multi-site market program that provides a broad assortment of fresh dairy, meat, and produce, grocery staples, and personal care items. Their programs are made possible by the generosity of local donors and volunteers. North Shore Bank representatives recently visited Our Neighbors’ Table to present a check for $1,400 from their Jeans Day Program.
We’re so thankful for the support of companies like North Shore Bank. Without these types of donations it would be very difficult to provide the programs and services which the people we serve have come to rely on. The market helps families, who are struggling financially - on behalf of them, we are so thankful.”
