Sweet Paws – Jeans Day

North Shore Bank employees donate $1,226 in Jeans Day Dollars to Sweet Paws Rescue in Groveland, Massachusetts

When Lisa Chochrek, Appraisal Review Officer for North Shore Bank, heard of the work her friend Heidi Murphy was doing with Sweet Paws Rescue, a shelterless dog rescue that finds homes for dogs from Mississippi, Alabama and Massachusetts and works to improve legislation and awareness of dog rescues in these area, she knew that NSB's Jeans Day program would be a great way to raise money and help these animals. In August, 2018, North Shore Bank employees raised $1,226 dollars for Sweet Paws Rescue through the bank's monthly Jeans Day program - a program which started in 2015 and has since raised over $55,000 for local charities and non-profits.

The rescue, run by founder Cynthia Sweet and a team of amazing fosters and volunteers all across New England, team up with a close network of seasoned and reputable recues to help provide aid due to an overpopulation problem in the South.
The funds raised from this generous donation will allow us to vaccinate, microchip, spay and neuter a whole litter of puppies. We can't rescue these dogs without partnerships from individuals and companies like North Shore Bank
