Haven From Hunger — Jeans Day

NSB Jeans Days support Haven from Hunger in Peabody

North Shore Bank recently announced the donation of $1,600 to the Haven from Hunger in Peabody. The proceeds were given by bank employees during the month of May as part of their weekly “Jeans Day” program. In exchange for $5 each week, staff can wear jeans to work with the funds collected pooled and then donated to an area charity. Haven from Hunger distributes emergency food to families throughout Peabody, Salem and Lynnfield.

We’re so thankful for the support of North Shore Bank.” She went on to say, “This generous donation will help Haven from Hunger provide the programs and services upon which our clients rely.”

— Alyse Barbash | Executive Director

The organization operates both a Food Pantry and a Community Meals Program through its 2,700 square foot facility on Wallis Street in Peabody. Serving more than 1,500 individuals every month, the organization is open four days a week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. On those days the Pantry distributes food from 10:30AM to 2:30PM, while hot meals are served from 5PM-6PM.
