Abington Bank Announces Strategic Retail Promotions to Support Continued Growth
Abington Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of two outstanding employees. Luis Figueroa was promoted to assistant vice president, branch officer at the bank’s 129 N. Main St., Randolph office, and Joao “John” Jatoba was promoted to assistant vice president, branch officer at the bank’s 497 Washington St., Stoughton office.
Luis Figueroa, of Rockland, has 16 years of experience in the banking industry, and joined Envision Bank in 2021 as assistant branch manager of their Randolph office before Envision Bank merged into Abington Bank in 2022. Throughout his time with Abington Bank, he has served as branch manager, bank officer of the 1 Rockdale St., Braintree office, and branch officer of both the 87 Sharon St., Stoughton office and the 129 N. Main St., Randolph office. Prior to that, he held positions at Brookline Bank, Liberty Mutual, and Bridgewater Savings. Figueroa studied computer science at Massasoit Community College.
Jatoba, of East Taunton, has more than 15 years of retail banking experience. He was hired at Abington Bank in 2023 as branch officer of the 87 Sharon St., Stoughton office. Prior to his time with Abington Bank, he served as a branch manager at SCU Credit Union, as well as an assistant branch manager with both HarborOne Bank and Citizens Bank. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business management from Bridgewater State University.
