Abington Bank, a division of North Shore Bank, Donates $5,000 to Friends of Abington Seniors, Inc.

ABINGTON, MASSACHUSETTS — September 29, 2025

Abington Bank, a division of North Shore Bank, recently announced a $5,000 donation to the Friends of Abington Seniors, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for local seniors through a variety of programs, services, and activities.

The funding will help support the organization’s ongoing initiatives, including social, educational, wellness, and recreational programs that foster community engagement and improve the well-being of Abington’s senior residents.

“We’re committed to supporting the people and organizations that make our community a better place to live,” said Michael R. Wheeler, president and CEO of Abington Bank, a division of North Shore Bank. “The Friends of Abington Seniors do incredible work to enrich the lives of our older neighbors, and we’re proud to help them continue their mission.”

The Friends of Abington Seniors, Inc. has long been a cornerstone of community support, operating in close partnership with the Abington Senior Center and other local resources to meet the evolving needs of seniors.

“The Bank’s contribution has been a wonderful boost to our mission, turning an ordinary day into something special for our Abington Senior Citizens,” said Mary Cordeiro, secretary for the Friends of Abington Seniors.

The bank’s support reflects its ongoing commitment to the community and strengthening local nonprofits that make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
