North Shore Bank and Abington Bank Launch Annual Veterans Drive

Peabody, Massachusetts — May 20, 2025

North Shore Bank and Abington Bank, a division of North Shore Bank, are proud to announce their annual Veterans Drive to honor and assist local veterans in need.

All North Shore Bank branches will be collecting supplies for Operation Troop Support, a Danvers-based nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting U.S. service members and veterans.

Abington Bank, a division of North Shore Bank, branches will support the Envision Home for Veterans in Randolph. This drive is an extension of the legacy to address homelessness that was started by the former Envision Bank, which merged into Abington Bank in 2022. Envision Bank assisted in the development of the Envision Bank Home for Veterans, a 10-unit affordable housing project for local veterans that opened in 2020.

Community members are encouraged to contribute by donating much-needed items such as gift cards (for groceries, gas, and clothing), toiletries, household goods, and personal care items. These goods will be packaged and sent to active-duty service members deployed overseas, as well as distributed to local veterans in need.

“Supporting those who serve and have served our country is part of our core values,” said Michael R. Wheeler, president and chief operating officer at North Shore Bank. “Operation Troop Support does incredible work, and we’re honored to continue our partnership and give our community a way to get involved.”

This initiative continues North Shore Bank’s and Abington Bank’s long-standing commitment to veteran support.

Donations can be dropped off at any North Shore Bank or Abington Bank location during regular business hours from May 27 through July 7.
